It was the early ’60 s when Mr Santo Gobbi opened his own handicraft business. He built the first candelabras with French soil, the work was made with bare hands and the fusions were taken off breaking the sand mould with fingers. The family tradition has been continued with the work of Mr Santo’s son, Mr Angelo Gobbi.
With his depth ofmechanical knowledge together with considerable practice, he perfected his own technique in using a pantograph. During the year of 1972, he purchased the first machinery and introduced a new Company name of Stilars snc. The name Stilars is a fusion of the Latin words for STYLE and ART.
Starting from this year, the moulds are made in steel and the items die-casted. Today’s collection comprises of more than 2,000 different items. In conjunction with the brass we also use other materials such as glass, wood and ceramic, and different finishes are created with bronzing, chrome plating silvering and paintin.
Our product range, the result of careful planning and created in an all Italian way, caters for the gift industry and complementary furnishings comprising of numerous objects for daily use. The material employed for the realisation of our products is brass complemented by other articles such as glass, wood and ceramics. The classic style of the products is shown in particular evidence by our fabrication procedure which enables every brass product to be manufactured in three different finishes which are the traditional polished and antique finish and the refined silver-plated finish.
The fusion temperature of the brass alloy is 1083 degrees.
Our pride point is our mechanical unit. Our numerical control machines allows us to create new models.
All our moulds are in steel, all the workings cured personally from our specialized staff
Automatic and semi-automatic lathes allow us to obtain smooth surfaces that are geometrically perfect.
The vibration is a fundamental step of our working process, it is applied with ceramic, sawdust and plastics.
During the die-casting often the pieces are printed half for time and need to be welded. We carry out both manual and automatic weldings.
The particular brilliance of our products is fruit of tested co-existence and fusion between mechanical job and human labour. The pressure that this machine for the automatic brushing exercises is equal to 70 kg.
